The Centre for
Acadian Research of Prince Edward Island is located in Miscouche, PEI. It has been
acquiring and preserving archives from various organizations and individuals of Prince
Edward Island's Acadian community since 1964.
The
Centre for Acadian Research of Prince Edward Island produced this virtual database in
1998, with the assistance of Industry Canada's SchoolNet Digital Collections Program.
At the present time, the site includes 9,042 photo descriptions; the images for
4,483 of these photos are currently available. The site also includes textual
