The genealogical section includes over 30,000 baptism and marriage files taken from registers of Prince Edward Island Acadian parishes between 1721 and 1901.  In addition to these files, about 160 files, folders or booklets on Acadian families bring together, by surname, genealogical and historical notes from various sources.  A library of books pertaining to Acadian genealogy complements this section.  These research tools are very useful for anyone who decides to uncover their relatives.
