From September to June, the clientele is mainly composed of Island Acadians, other Islanders, as well as students from across the province.  Many individuals from the community attend the exhibit openings and other activities which are mostly held on Sunday afternoons.  Furthermore, researchers use the Study Room to consult genealogical and archival resources pertaining to Acadians.  As for the students, especially those in grade 6, the Acadian Museum offers them a school program which complements their curriculum on the history of the Acadians.

During the summer, the clientele mainly includes out-of-province visitors, especially from Québec, Ontario and the United States, but also from many other areas of the world such as France and other Europeen countries, Japan, Australia, etc.
