People using the Centre can also consult some 2,000 publications in the library which contains practically everything that has ever been published on Prince Edward Island Acadians.  Books on Acadian history, genealogy and culture of the Maritime Provinces and elsewhere can be found in the library as well.

This sector also includes the complete collection of La Voix acadienne published since 1976 and the 9 microfilm reels of L'Impartial (1893-1915), the first French language newspaper published on Prince Edward Island.  The Centre has a copy of the thematic and nominal indexes, birth announcements, wedding announcements, death notifications, funeral announcements, and anniversaries which appeared in L'Impartial between 1893 and 1915.  A microfilm reader is available for consultation.
