The Government of Canada is committed to implementing section 41 of the Official Languages Act. Francophone and Acadian communities have access to all federal government programs. Twenty-six federal government departments and agencies have been identified for the purpose of supporting the development and enhancing the vitality of Francophone and Acadian communities through concrete action; eight federal government departments and agencies are represented on the National Committee for Canadian Francophonie Human Resources Development because their activities are oriented towards economic development.
